Magnetic Deficiency Syndrome

Magnetic Deficiency Syndrome

By Dr. Irma I. Sierra – 787-782-5767

Did you know that part of the energy in your body comes from the Earth’s magnetism? So, what happens if there is a deficiency in the Earth’s natural magnetic field?

Dr. Kyoichi Nakagawa, MD, Director of Isuzu Hospital in Tokyo, Japan, spent more than 30 years researching magnetism in humans. He concluded that a deficiency in the Earth’s magnetic field already exists and produces symptoms such as stiffness or numbness in the shoulders, back, and neck, chest pains, headaches, heaviness in the head, dizziness, insomnia, constipation, fatigue, and general tiredness. Scientific authorities have shown that the Earth’s magnetic field has decreased by about 50% over the past 500 years. Could it be that the human body has adapted to a stronger magnetic force (measured in gauss), and as the Earth’s magnetism decreases, human deficiencies appear? It seems logical, since when a patient with these symptoms is exposed to a higher magnetic force, their symptoms begin to disappear.

It is important to remember Dr. Ralph U. Sierra, a scientific expert in Biomagnetism since 1966. In 1972, Dr. Nakagawa had the honor of visiting Dr. Sierra’s Puerto Rico Scientific Research Laboratory, despite the high cost of traveling from Japan at that time—he came to learn from Dr. Sierra. Of course, Dr. Sierra was equally honored that a medical director would visit him (especially since, in those days, Sierra was criticized, even called “crazy”). What saddened him was that so many people, by refusing to try magnets, suffered unnecessarily, had a lower quality of life, and some even died—when they might have found relief. Sierra freely shared his time with these scientists, including Dr. Nakagawa and others from France, Russia, and the United States.

Dr. Sierra’s famous phrase, found on hundreds of websites recognizing him as an authority on magnetic therapies, was: “We now stand at the threshold of a great era in the science of Magnetism and its applications… a tool provided by Mother Nature herself.” He was saying this as early as the 1970s.

By 1976, Dr. Kyoichi Nakagawa suggested that the time people spend in buildings and cars reduces their exposure to the Earth’s natural geomagnetic fields, which could also interfere with health. He called this condition Magnetic Field Deficiency Syndrome.

And for those who suffer from fibromyalgia and similar conditions, could this be the same phenomenon? That is what we who work with magnetic therapies continue to ask and investigate, since that condition had not yet been identified in Nakagawa’s time.

What’s most important to understand is that it is not about applying just any magnet you can find. Magnets have two polarities, completely different in how they act on human tissue. Just as the Earth has a North and South pole, magnets do as well—but their effects on the body are opposite.

Dr. Sierra’s experiments with plants, animals, and humans confirmed studies conducted for thousands of years. And I want you to know that even today, in 2006, no new discoveries have contradicted his work. Sierra was not “crazy”—he was simply a brilliant scientist ahead of his time, and he was my father.

Effects of Magnet Poles

North Pole (Negative) | South Pole (Positive)

Relaxes | Stimulates

Reduces | Increases

Produces alkalinity | Acidifies

Reduces inflammation | Increases inflammation

Increases oxygen to the cells | Decreases oxygen to the cells

Regulates body functions | Overstimulates body functions

Dr. Ralph U. Sierra explained: “Our cells are made up of molecules, molecules are made up of atoms, and atoms are composed of protons (+), electrons (–), neutrons, and subatomic particles. They carry positive, negative, and neutral charges. The body functions like an electrical unit, a battery, and therefore has a magnetic field. Since our body is electrical, every cell is influenced by electromagnetism. When the cells lose their magnetism, their vibrational frequency is altered, and disease begins.”

In today’s modern era, we are constantly bombarded by harmful electromagnetic forces—coming from electricity in our homes, televisions, computers, cell phones, electric refrigerators, and more. These are harmful because they alter the structure of our cells, forcing the body to work harder to adapt and restore balance. Therapeutic magnets, when correctly designed, assist the body in strengthening itself against these harmful forces.

Health Magnetic Store offers a wide variety of magnetic products for your health, placed in orthopedic supports, cushions, jewelry, and more. This store was created by Drs. Irma Sierra and Jorge Jarrot, dedicated to Dr. Ralph U. Sierra, in response to the need to share accurate knowledge and correct applications of magnets to the human body. When used properly, these applications can provide significant benefits for many conditions. Our trained staff is here to guide you in understanding the benefits of our magnetic products.

  • The correct use of magnets has no side effects. But using the wrong polarity can cause harm, increase infections, or worsen tumors if present.
