Let me tell you my story

I have lived with magnets for as long as I can remember. My relationship with biomagnetism did not begin as a theory, a trend, or a professional interest — it began as part of my everyday life. From the time I was six years old, magnets were simply how we cared for the body in our home.

Whenever I felt discomfort, my father would first adjust me chiropractically and then place a magnet on the area. Even the water I drank was magnetized or polarized — something I continue to this day. It was never presented as something mysterious or extreme; it was simply part of respecting the body’s natural intelligence. As my father always reminded me:

“The power that made the body heals the body.”

That principle shaped not only my upbringing, but my entire life’s work.

My father, Dr. Ralph U. Sierra, introduced me early to both Chiropractic and Biomagnetism. Our home was also his laboratory, which meant I grew up surrounded by curiosity, experimentation, and purpose. I helped prepare magnetic bands, observed countless experiments, and learned through direct experience what few people ever witness firsthand.

One memory that has stayed with me vividly is the day he showed me blood cells under a microscope — healthy cells alongside those affected by disease. Even at a young age, I understood that this knowledge carried responsibility. I knew, intuitively, that one day it would be my turn to protect and continue what he had built.

In 1984, I became a Chiropractor. By 1985, I opened my own practice using the very equipment my father left behind. For the next 26 years, I dedicated myself fully to hands-on patient care, combining chiropractic adjustments with magnetic therapy exactly as I had been taught. Those years confirmed, again and again, the value of supporting the body rather than fighting it.

In 2010, I made the heartfelt decision to retire from chiropractic practice and shift my focus. I devoted my energy to expanding Health Magnetic Store & More, transforming it into a space for education, access, and continuity. Through the store, I was able to reach beyond the treatment room — offering carefully selected magnetic tools, nutritional supplements, and guidance rooted in decades of experience.

At the same time, the clinical work continues close to home. My husband, Dr. Jorge C. Jarrot, remains in active practice at Jarrot Sierra Chiropractic Clinic, located next to the store in San Juan. There, he continues offering chiropractic care along with the original electromagnetic therapy approach that combines a copper coil with static magnets—an integrative method I explain in detail in my book, Beyond the Power of a Magnet. This continuity between clinic, store, and education reflects the living application of the philosophy we have shared for decades.

Our children continue the legacy through their own professional paths. All three hold doctoral degrees in Chiropractic and personally use static magnets and PEMF technology as part of their wellness routines. Dr. Alexandra and Dr. Jorge R. remain in active chiropractic practice, with Alexandra also incorporating PEMF therapy into her clinical care. Adrian chose to follow a different path—while not in the field of chiropractic, he is in the field of naturopathy—and is involved in the daily operations of the store on a part-time basis. He has a strong interest in PEMF therapy combined with N-type magnets, contributing a modern, integrative perspective grounded in the same values that started it all.

Today, my personal self-care is a living reflection of what I teach. I use static magnets daily, wear magnetic jewelry at all times, and sleep with therapeutic magnets, including hand and knee supports. At home, I combine static magnets with PEMF therapy, creating a routine that supports energy balance, joint comfort, and inflammation management. This is not a temporary practice — it is a lifestyle shaped by decades of observation, use, and trust in magnetic health.

In recent years, I felt called to put this journey into words. My book, Beyond the Power of a Magnet, is not simply informational — it is a testament to legacy, curiosity, and continuity. It tells the story of how one man’s dedication evolved into a family mission and a lifetime of service.

Now, in 2026, I remain committed to education, preservation, and sharing this knowledge with clarity and integrity. Biomagnetism is not new to me — it is inherited, practiced, and lived. My purpose is simple and unwavering: to help others understand their bodies, feel better, and stay balanced using tools that honor nature’s design.
