My Personal Journey in Biomagnetism – 2025 Reflection

I’ve been using magnets since I was six years old. Whenever I had an ache, my father would give me a chiropractic adjustment and then apply a magnet to the area. Even the water I drank — and still do — was magnetized or polarized. As my father often reminded me:

That guiding principle shaped my upbringing. My father, Dr. Ralph U. Sierra, introduced me to the power of both Chiropractic and Biomagnetism from a young age. In 1984, I became a Chiropractor, and by 1985, I had opened my practice using the very equipment he left behind. More than tools, he gave me knowledge — deeply rooted and personally lived.

His lab was in our home, so I had a front-row seat to innovation. I spent countless hours helping him prepare magnetic bands, observing experiments, and absorbing lessons few others had access to. I vividly remember the day he showed me blood cells under the microscope — comparing healthy cells to those affected by cancer. Even then, I sensed the responsibility that would one day be mine.

For the next 26 years — until 2010 — I remained fully dedicated to hands-on patient care, combining chiropractic adjustments with magnetic therapy, just as my father had taught me. Those years were deeply fulfilling, as I witnessed the transformation and comfort this integrative approach brought to many.

In 2010, I made the heartfelt decision to retire from chiropractic practice. I shifted my full attention to our store, Health Magnetic Store & More — not only offering carefully selected magnetic and nutritional products, but also expanding into writing, public education, and direct outreach. This allowed me to express my legacy and calling in new, far-reaching ways.

Although our children are no longer involved in the daily operations of the store, all three are practicing Chiropractors who continue to recommend magnets to their patients and use PEMF technology as part of their personal wellness routines — living the principles we’ve shared for decades and honoring the legacy of their grandfather. Dr. Alexandra and Dr. Jorge R. are both in active practice, with Alexandra also incorporating PEMF therapy into her clinical care. Our third child, Dr. Adrian, after earning his chiropractic degree, chose to pursue further training with a Master’s in Naturopathy, and now works part-time at the store, bringing a fresh and integrative perspective to the mission we’ve built.

My daily self-care includes the constant use of static magnets, combined with PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy. I wear magnetic jewelry at all times — I never take it off — and I sleep on therapeutic magnets, using magnetic hand and knee braces throughout the night. At home, I combine these static magnets with PEMF therapy sessions, creating a deeply supportive routine for energy, joint comfort, and inflammation management. It’s not just a wellness habit — it’s a lifestyle built on decades of experience and belief in the power of magnetic health.

In recent years, I also felt called to put my experience into writing. My book, Beyond the Power of a Magnet, shares not just techniques and information, but the heart behind our legacy — how one man’s curiosity transformed into a lifetime of healing, education, and inspiration.

Today in 2025, as we celebrate 20 years since launching our online store and nearly 50 years of combined magnetic experience, I remain committed to helping others explore natural solutions.
