About the Hand Cylinder

This is a premium cast Alnico Grade 5 magnet with a bright, metal finish. It is non-toxic and non-corrosive in use. It has a magnetic pole on each end, clearly marked for proper orientation.

Product Heritage:

Originally, cylinder magnets were popular with dairy farmers and veterinarians for agricultural applications. Dr. Ralph Sierra pioneered the idea of adapting them for biomagnetic therapy by holding them in the hands and for other wellness applications.

Polarity Identification:

We identify and mark the North (negative -) and South (positive +) poles for you. The South pole is marked with red tape for easy identification.

How to Use:

In Sierra biomagnetic therapy practices, this cylinder is held in each hand for fifteen minutes, once to three times daily or a couple of times during the week. It can also be rolled under the sole of the feet for 10 minutes as part of wellness routines. When applying to specific areas, the North (-) grey side is typically oriented toward the area of focus for 15 minutes minimum. Apply the North tip while holding the cylinder with one hand toward the desired area.

Care and Handling:

Please handle with care - Alnico material is brittle and can chip or break if dropped on a hard surface. With proper care, the cylinder will retain its magnetic strength indefinitely. Because Alnico has low resistance to demagnetization, proper storage is important. For best results, store magnetized alnico so that pieces are attracting each other, or with a steel keeper. Avoid storing with poles repelling each other or leaving in extreme heat (such as inside a car).
